R+D+i projects

We develope innovative taylor made mechatronic projects in robotic survilliance and security, aeronautics, telecom and medical sectors involving high tecnology.

SMOS

This project consists to deliver a Mobile sensored station to calibrate the SMOS Satellite and to acquire all the data in terms from the soil moisture and salinity coming from the wind , sea and ground.

It consists on a 8m high telescopic mast with a by a robotic arm to lift oriented and position several types of interchangeable microwave antennas (300Kg weight) . The mast is able to hold winds up to 100km/h and in case of exceeding this magnitude the antenna will automatically retract , the same occurs if there is a thunderstorm. A self-supporting cased platform is attached to the truck and bracing the ground antennas.

It's made of machined marine aluminum with high resistance joints and high precision. It has a range of 8km radius in data capture.

Present Applications:

Land Station data acquisition (salinity and moisture). Search of fertile land, earthworks detection, soil discontinuities,...

Future Applications:

  • Estimate the risk of fire (dryness) and flooding (soil moisture).
  • Optimize the time of collection (critical example: the vineyard sector).
  • Drawing of hydrological models to better understand the water cycle and ocean currents.
  • Measuring salinity: drawing maps of weather models and climate change understanding.

REHABILITA

Development of an haptic rehabilitation system for upper limbs with help of 3D Virtual Reality.

SAMHU

Airborne antenna to acquire signals reflected from sensors based on SMOS technology.

Future Applications:

Measuring moisture and salinity and everything related to the SMOS system using UAV platforms

RAMPE

Non-polluting alternative surface treatments applied to hydraulic actuators to replace Cadmium and Chromium plated due to its by HVOF.

Present Applications:

Installation for HVOF surface treatment

Consortium:

INTA, GUTMAR, Tekniker, Sener, Cesa, ITP and Gamesa.

In all of them have been developed, industrialized and manufactured fully functional HVOF-stations validating the commissioning and functional testing
